Travelling Cherrapunji- An Amazing Experience

Cherrapunji Travel The Best Place To TravelCheerapunji - How To Reach Cherrapunji.jpg

This time it was a family trip alongside 2 of my friends, who came to visit upper east the distance from Delhi. The trip was to a standout amongst the most delightful and tranquil areas of the upper east Cherrapunji. All the more usually known as Sohra, this place has such a great amount to offer to voyagers. It was once known for being the wettest place on earth, still it holds record for most measure of precipitation in multi year. We made our base at Shillong to cover a portion of the close-by places in multi day or two. We began off for Cherrapunji early morning from Shillong, with the goal that we can get enough time for the entire day to investigate.

Subsequent to going for around 50km, we stopped at a lovely resort called Sa-I-mika for breakfast. Its a thin curve from the primary street towards the right. The resort would itself be able to fill in as a visitor spot with such an extensive amount characteristic excellence all around. It had small little bungalows to residences. So next time I visit Sohra, I will make it a point to set up a night’s stay at this resort. We had our extravagant breakfast which contained : bread, margarine, stick, omelet and flapjacks. Presently we were prepared for the day with our stomachs full???? . Around 3kms in front of Sa-I-mika,on a similar street there is a delightful cascade by the name of Dainthlen. This cascade gets its name from the Khasi word “Thlen” which means Python and it has an awesome legend related with it. What’s more, fortunately for us, that day we got the chance to witness the shooting of a South indian tune from the motion picture “Gethu” featuring Amy Jackson

Unwinding for some time and appreciating the magnificence of this mitigating place, we headed towards our next goal : Nohkalikai falls. That is another excellence covered up in the slopes of Meghalaya. The photo can be seen at the plain first. The Nohkalikai falls is the tallest dive cascade in the entire of India having a tallness of approx. 1100 feet :O . The falls ends into a blue water body and this very sight makes it an awesome one. Encompassed by greenery all around and white dilute sprinkling is such a stunning background.

Entranced and fought , we returned back to Shillong with exciting recollections of the lovely Sohra. I trust Northeast is such a great amount of loaded with characteristic excellence, that a trek over all the seven states will give anybody a mind blowing background of a lifetime. I am from the upper east, so I invite one and all to make a visit to this piece of our country and feel its air:) .

Continue voyaging!!!
